The governor assured traders that shops in the reconstructed market would be allocated without charges to genuine traders and previous occupants.
The service, organised in honour of the matriarch of the Idahosa family, took place at the Living Faith Church, Sapele Road, Benin City.
Mr Aghedo said the details of the funeral arrangements would be announced later.
Mr Idahosa said, “Christmas is a season that reminds us of the power of hope and shared humanity.”
Mr Idahosa reaffirmed that health remained a central pillar of the SHINE agenda of Governor Monday Okpebholo’s administration.
Mr Idahosa extended heartfelt condolences to Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa, the Ewhrudjakpo family, and the people of the state over the loss.
Mr Idahosa said, “You cannot fight over what does not belong to you.”
The deputy governor described the project as a potential game-changer for the state’s tourism industry.
The governor emphasised that his administration had zero tolerance for corruption and expected them to be disciplined and embrace teamwork
The deputy governor stated that it was disturbing that Nigeria still lacked a vaccine manufacturing company, despite its pressing health challenges.
