Mr Attah’s remarks came as the AYPC was formally inaugurated as a continental movement dedicated to raising a new generation of Peace Ambassadors across Africa.
Mr Shettima said, “Unless there is peace, you cannot do what you want to do.’’
Mr Museveni argued that the situation was worsened by external forces with selfish interests.
“As your fathers, we earnestly appeal to you all to shelve the planned protest in the interest of our dear nation,” the traditional rulers said.
ASUU had issued a three-week ultimatum to the federal government over some outstanding demands.
