Out of the 64,000 disappeared persons across Africa, Nigeria recorded 25,000 missing persons, including over 14,000 children.
The association said that 15 of its members affected in Bayelsa, Kogi, Rivers and Imo ended up in the Internally Displaced Persons’ camp.
The returnees were given one hundred U.S. dollars each to aid their transportation back to their respective destinations.
The minister said that about 1,142,783 potential beneficiaries were registered across the 774 LGAs, with 19,155 potential beneficiaries registered in Ondo State.
Mr Adam said that the programme was so far able to reach 609 local governments, 6,272 wards and 48,789 communities.
The disbursed soft loans were to vulnerable and low-income groups engaged in commercial activities in Niger.
Beneficiaries could receive up to N300,000 as a loan.
Mr Duba alleged that the Farouq-led ministry and its agencies have abandoned their responsibility and are not interested in managing the disaster.
