The police spokesperson named the suspects as Umar Abubakar, 24; Ibrahim Lawali, 18; Sirajo Musa, 25; and Adamu Lawal, 25.
The army spokesperson said the suspects had loaded two trucks with the vandalised rail tracks before their arrests.
“The Division will continue to carry out its assigned and constitutional role in line with global best practices,” he assured.
He added that the troops and SSS apprehended a notorious ESN commander, Mr Ezege, in a separate sting operation in Enugu.
She said the suspect was arrested with the vehicle in Ilesa, Osun.
“The register is open to the general public from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. during the mourning period of May 22 to May 29.”
