She said the officer was relieved of his duties pending the outcome of the investigation.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that shortly after the child’s disappearance, the suspect contacted the parents and demanded ₦200,000 for the child’s release,” he said.
According to him, the criminals forcefully took the victims into the bush.
The command assured residents that all necessary legal actions would be taken.
Mr Edafe said that the command was still investigating the matter.
