The awards ceremony took place on Saturday in Jos at the hospital’s 2024 End of Year Dinner and Awards Night.
Plateau State Commissioner for Health, Dr Cletus Shurkuk, said the state recorded 2, 260 new cases of Human Immunodeficiency Virus infections and 581 deaths from the disease in 2023
Mr Shurkuk said the burden from the national statistics for the transmission from mother to child was still in double digit.
The government is currently ensuring the regulation of healthcare facilities in the state.
“Our goal is to sensitise members of the respective communities on the importance of adopting and inculcating healthier behaviours,” she said.
