The police arrested the suspects on Sunday following information provided by a concerned member of the Ilu-Abo community.
The police urged the public to avoid violence in resolving disputes.
Mr Jimoh explained that the couple, Jamiu Olawale and his wife, residents of Olaribigba Estate, Ilu-Abo, were whisked away by the gunmen at about 9:45 p.m. on February 20.
The spokesperson said the CP also visited the injured victims to assess their condition and assured them of the command’s support.
Mr Jimoh explained that the arrest was effected on January 30.Â
The police spokesman said the rescue followed a reported case of abduction.
The spokesperson said the commissioner of police (CP) warned the public against patronising unregistered or illegal medical facilities.
According to Mr Jimoh, the complainant said the act was uncovered following inquiries into the cause of the victim’s pregnancy.
The spokesperson explained that the Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal, commended the operatives for their swift response and professional conduct.
