Mr Oguguo, a lecturer at the Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, said such a proposal was anti-people and “against the law of natural justice”.
The 13 Ebonyi indigenes were killed on June 30 during their monthly town union meeting in Ogboji, Orumba South, Anambra.
“We urge such groups to allow us to breathe because we will not hide any perpetrator of crime under our roof.”
Mr Igboji lauded the reviving state of the worker’s welfare and described it as “incredible”.
“Well, there is nothing wrong with removing the subsidy, but there must be a palliative to cushion the effect of the subsidy.”
Residents of Ebonyi on Tuesday decried the high cost of petrol in the country.
