Mr Ukandu said the command had commenced an investigation into the matter.

The spokesman noted that the Commissioner of Police, CP Adaku Uche-Anya, had reaffirmed the command’s unwavering commitment to rid the state of criminal elements.
Mr Ukandu said the DPO confirmed that the victims were abducted on July 24 on their farms, and the police were yet to know the culprits.
The magistrate noted that the matter was coming up for the first time for hearing after the suspect was remanded after his arraignment.
Mr Ukandu explained that the incident started when two youths from the two communities fought, and one of them from Omege was stabbed.
The command asked residents to refrain from using bangers, citing potential fire outbreaks and panic.
