Mr Obaseki says PDP has the sole right to determine the party’s candidate for the Edo governorship election slated for September 21, 2024.

The Rivers governor said Mr Abubakar disrespected him by picking members of the party’s national campaign council without consulting him.
The party said it was concerned by the pronouncements of certain members in the Edo chapter of the party.
INEC spokesman Festus Okoye, in a press statement on Monday, said the number of fresh registrants as of 7:00 a.m. on Monday rose to over 1 million.
The APC legal team is made up of five senior lawyers and led by former attorney-general Akin Olujimi.
