The EEDC spokesman thanked the company’s customers “for their support and understanding throughout the year.
“This exercise is free and at no cost to customers,” he said.
He said that they would no longer pay electricity bills, since they were not getting supply.
“This resulted in the loss of supply to all our interface TCN stations.’’
EEDC says at least 170 incidents of electrical installation vandalism were reported in the South-East within two years and two months.
