Following their guilty pleas, EFCC counsel urged the court to convict and sentence them in accordance with the plea bargain agreement.
According to him, their arrest followed actionable intelligence which linked them to fraudulent internet activities.
The court also ordered the forfeiture of identified assets and accounts linked to the fraud.
Mr Kuru was arraigned on February 11 alongside Sigma Golf Nigeria Ltd.
The Nigerian said that many investors were convinced to invest in the scheme through several means.
“We have invited him. Not until we conclude the case we cannot say Tompolo is guilty or not. We must give every Nigerian fair hearing,” said EFCC.
“A one-party system is not suitable for democracy. We are one party ruling and carrying on with the aspirations of Nigerians,” said Mr Tinubu.
