The government declared Monday May 2 and Tuesday May 3 as holidays to mark Workers Day and Eid el-Fitr.
Mr Buhari maintained that the current security and economic situation of the country was different from when he assumed office in 2015.
“This government is ever committed to the security and welfare of all citizens. Hence people should not panic during the Sallah festivity.”
The emirate would hold Eid prayer, including a special intercession for peaceful coexistence in the state and the country.
Mr Ogaba disclosed that the command had banned the operation of tricycles between Wednesday and Thursday, adding that all recreational centres would also remain closed.
“Worshippers are, therefore, advised to arrive early at prayer grounds nearest to their homes for security screening to avoid the eleventh-hour rush.”
The police advised members of the public to report suspicious persons or acts within their environment.
