At the Registration Area Centre at St. Peters Saturday morning, it was discovered that only 1,500 ballot papers were available for about 50,000 voters.
The Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, says Nigerians supporting him are doing it for themselves rather than for him.
The 2.5 million eligible voters are to exercise their franchise in the 5,720 polling units in the 326 electoral wards in the state.
The police chief said the responsibility of police officers and other security agencies deployed for the election, was to ensure that the electoral process was safe, secured and credible.
Mr Ojukwu also signed guidelines on the role of the law enforcement and security agencies in the protection of voters’ access and participation at elections.
Mr Igwe, representing Port Harcourt Federal Constituency 2, is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party and loyal to the party’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.
