Giwa LGA in Kaduna has commenced the payment of N10,000 special allowance to 250 ward heads and 260 vigilante members in the area.
On Thursday, the police commissioner in Kaduna, Audu Dabigi, paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Bamalli.
“We want to ensure they understand their roles in helping victims to report abuse incidents.’’
Judges are being wrongly accused of delay in dispensing justice by the public.
“I want to assure you that based on the way banditry wants to return, we in the house have taken some measures,” said Mr Abbas.
The speaker said that the Nigerian army was being engaged to establish additional camps at some of the identified routes of the bandits.
The governor added that his administration would support other victims receiving treatment at the hospital with N500,000 for medication.
The governor offered his prayers to the affected families and the entire people of Zaria during this difficult time.
“This evil act must not be allowed to go unchecked.”
He assured that the corps’ office in Sabon Gari would soon be built and equipped with adequate facilities to enhance effective performance.
