On Sunday, drama unfolded when the Enugu Catholic Diocese sought to install another priest in place of Mr Mbaka.
Mr Mbaka prayed for the timely commencement and successful completion of the project.
Mr Mbaka’s brief detention on Wednesday sparked spontaneous protest as his adherents staged protests to the Diocesan headquarters.
“The last person this administration should fight is the Father Mbaka. If they speak against me, the anger of heaven will be upon them, and how the end will shock everybody.”
“Is he silent because he is dumb and cannot talk? Why is the president quiet in the midst of the evil going on in the country?
Security challenges received continued attention, talks held with U.S. and Zambian leaders and the president fell out with Father Mbaka.
The Catholic priest demanded the president’s resignation earlier this month.
“We are crying because our leaders have failed us.”
“So Buhari and those that want to fight: before you start to fight, remember there was a time God asked me to support you, people.”
