Hordes of Federal Captital Territory Inland Revenue Service employees on Wednesday protested at the FCT-IRS headquarters in Garki Area 8, demanding salary review and promotion.
Mr Sumaila said that filing annual returns of income from all sources was mandatory for all taxpayers.
Mr Ango added that it would be helpful if suspects’ tax obligations were also interrogated as part of EFCC’s investigation processes.
He also commended the support of the Senate and house committees on FCT.
“We believe our efforts are making a significant contribution to domestic revenue mobilisation,” said NFIU.
Mr Abdullahi pledged to give the necessary support to the new acting chairman.
“Today, we went out to execute the court orders, which ordered the FCT-IRS to seal off the premises of defaulting taxpayers brought before it.”
The magistrate, Janada Balami, gave the order after the lawyer for FCT-IRS, Michael Towolawi, moved the application to effect.
FCT-IRS has restated its commitment to support FCTA agencies in its drive to boost revenue generation.
The FCT-IRS boss described the feat as a significant milestone toward revolutionising revenue management and collection.
