Mr Belelo said the FCCPC would continue to ensure fair market practices and prevent endangering of consumers in all sectors of the economy.
FCCPC said the move was due to the centre’s failure to receive a letter from the commission to investigate a consumer complaint.
Mr Bello said the commission was investigating and taking action against unfair practices, including the re-bagging and mislabelling of food items.
They said establishing an indigenous social media platform would ensure easy regulation and implementation of data protection policies.
Justice James Omotosho, in a judgment, held that the suit was an abuse of court process.
MultiChoice announced a new price increase for its GOtv and DStv subscriptions on February 24, expected effective March 1.
He said the action followed MultiChoice’s formal notification of the price adjustment, which raised concerns about recurrent unilateral price hikes.
