Mr Tinubu commiserated with the families of the dead and injured victims in a statement by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga.

He urged motorists to obey traffic rules and cooperate with marshals to ensure sanity on highways.

The corps said it was appealing to motorists to maintain the stipulated speed and refrain from wrongful overtaking to stem road crashes on the highway.
Mr Akume urged the appointed officers to show more commitment and rededicate themselves to achieving the corporate vision of the corps.
The FRSC corps marshal, Shehu Mohammed, disclosed this in a news conference in Lagos on Thursday.
She said the command was worried about motorists’ flagrant disobedience to traffic rules in the state.
The FRSC spokesperson said that five people, a man and four women, were involved in the accident.
Mr Umoh said that the officers comprising special and regular marshals would help in maintaining orderliness on the highways.
