He said that the arrest came after he had evaded arrest twice and fled to Ghana to hide since June.

Mr Babafemi said that the couple was initially arrested on June 13, by operatives of the State Security Service in the Ojo area of Lagos State.

Mr Babafemi said a team of NDLEA officers, acting on credible intelligence, had arrested one of the kingpin’s couriers.

He said 92 bags of Loud, a strong strain of cannabis weighing 51.10kg, were recovered from them by the NDLEA operatives at the airport.
