NDLEA’s director of media and advocacy, Femi Babafemi, said the seizures were made between Thursday and Friday at the Port Harcourt Ports Complex, Onne, Rivers.
He said Ms Elediye remained on the wanted list of NDLEA for leading one of the drug cartels operating in the Mushin area of Lagos.
He said that the suspect was arrested at the boarding gate of the Abuja airport on Sunday, Dec. 22.
“They are all expected to impact the knowledge and skills acquired during the sessions on their other colleagues,” the statement said.
The anti-narcotics office also arrested a grandmother in Lagos for dealing in large quantities of tramadol, among other fresh busts nationwide.
Mr Babafemi said that the consignments were going to the United Kingdom via a courier company in Lagos.
The NDLEA said the suspect said he desperately needed money from the criminal drug trade to boost his declining phone and accessories business.
Mr Babafemi said the suspect was stopped at the departure hall of the Lagos airport on November 11 when NDLEA operatives arrested him after recovering the opioids
Mr Babafemi said a suspected drug 42-year-old alleged peddler, was nabbed with 75kg cannabis at Eziobodo, Owerri West LGA, Imo State on Thursday, November 14.
He said this followed months of intelligence and surveillance on his cross-border criminal activities.
