Aviation minister Festus Keyamo inaugurated the remodelled E-wing and E-gate on Friday at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
He said there would be continuous investment in aviation infrastructure to support the sector.
He emphasised the importance of the FDC in enhancing safety.Â
The Nigerian Air Force says it will partner the aviation ministry to host the forthcoming Nigeria International Air Show in 2025.
Mr Keyamo said the marshals would report directly to him, enabling him to issue necessary directives to the FAAN based on their findings.
On Wednesday, the World Meteorological Organisation pledged to provide technical support to Nigeria in addressing climate change challenges.
Mr Keyamo said this while speaking with journalists shortly after a stakeholders’ engagement meeting on the insurance of aircraft operations in Abuja.
The House also called for the withdrawal of approvals already granted to private individuals and organisations to safeguard national security.
Mr Keyamo said the number of complaints from aggrieved passengers on a daily basis was huge.
The federal government has signed the Cape Town Convention Practice Directions to reduce the cost of airline operations in Nigeria’s aviation sector.
