INEC spokesman Festus Okoye said it wouldn’t reach out to proscribed IPOB/ESN in its stakeholders engagement ahead of the Anambra elections.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says it will commence the training of presiding officers and assistant presiding officers on October 19.
INEC said it was complying with court ruling to list Mr Ozigbo as the candidate of the PDP for the Anambra gubernatorial election.
The age distribution showed that 1,877,552 were youths, 686,583 were middle aged, 284,389 were elderly, while 39,454 were old people.
INEC said there’s a social media post in circulation, promoting a website for INEC voter registration different from the INEC CVR Portal.
Of the 120,600 Nigerians who had completed their physical registration, 72,075 were male, while 48,525 were female.
INEC spokesman Festus Okoye, in a press statement on Monday, said the number of fresh registrants as of 7:00 a.m. on Monday rose to over 1 million.
The shift is due to holidays declared by the federal government, the commission said.
The electoral commission opened an online continuous voters registration portal on Monday ahead of the 2023 general elections.
INEC spokesman Fesus Okoye said no Nigerian would be disenfranchised during the registration process.
