Reports said the inferno destroyed some documents and properties at the university.
A residential apartment inside the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, was gutted by fire on Tuesday evening.
The permanent secretary of LASEMA, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, confirmed that no casualty or injury were recorded.
The inferno was said to have been caused by a power surge in the Oko-Erin area of Ilorin West LGA of Kwara.
Fire on Monday gutted the Nodu Okpuno Mata foam depot in Anambra.
The victims, including four children, three women and a man, died due to suffocation, said the report.
However, the Civil Defence said the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
The Fire Service said the cause of the fire remained sketchy but promised to furnish the public with the details as soon as the cause is ascertain.
“A roll of shops, comprising 12 units, was, however, severely damaged by the fire.”
About 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, there was a reported incident of a fire outbreak at the Egbin power plant.
