“Such a rejection is an unprecedented development in Lagos since 1999,” stated Joe Okei-Odumakin.
Mr Lawal said that the Commissioner for Education, Folashade Adefisayo, had reassured the public that the matter would be dealt with within the scope of the ministry’s strict regulations.
If we want a truly great, secure and prosperous future, it is futile to pay peanuts and not expect monkeys in our classrooms.
Ms Adefisayo said this on Wednesday in Ikeja, during a news briefing on the 2022 Lagos State Education Summit.
The commissioner explained that this was to avert incidents where corporal punishment results in students’ death.
“The schools are under constant surveillance.”
