The monarch stated that the concepts of “Iyaloja” and “Iyeki General” are alien to the Benin culture.
Mr Hassan advised that any imposition of levies on traders without Iyaloja-General’s approval should stop.
“There is an economic downturn all over the world, and not in Nigeria alone. But we pray Allah will see us through,” Mrs Tinubu-Ojo said.
According to him, the situation that forced many people to vacate farms for the city because of insecurity has been decimated.
Mr Tinubu’s gross abuse of political privilege has continued to unleash economic violence on residents of Nigeria’s commercial capital.
Mrs Tinubu-Ojo insists the market was closed due to the poor sanitary conditions of the place.
Traders allege that Mrs Tinubu-Ojo is demanding a bribe of N5 million before Oyingbo market can be reopened.
