On Sunday, a special church service will be conducted in honour of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
“The death of Buhari should ginger our governments to wake up to the need for doing something strategic to improve the healthcare delivery,” the cleric said.
The aircraft conveying the body of Buhari touched the ground by 1:50p.m. at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua Airport, Katsina.
He described Mr Buhari as an “illustrious leader who worked untiringly to serve his country’s best interests and lead his people toward further progress and prosperity”.
The rescheduling of the plenary session to July 22 was announced in a statement by Kamoru Ogunlana, clerk to the National Assembly.
Before his demise, Mr Adetona leveraged his relationship with President Bola Tinubu to push for the creation of Ijebu State.
“He dithered on his successor. He told the world he was not interested, but he tried to undercut the best man in his whole political career: Bola Tinubu,” said Mr Omatseye.
“The late president was deeply admired across all strata of society for his decency, integrity, and exemplary life of service,” said Mr Jonathan.
Mr Odinkalu further reflected on how the remains of scores of Shiites massacred during the reign of Mr Buhari were conveyed in trucks.
The statement noted, “President Tinubu has spoken with Mrs Aishat Buhari, the former President’s widow and offered his deep condolences.’’
