Mr Trump lost the 2020 presidential election to his Democratic challenger Joe Biden.
“Much better. Much better. I’m a better-looking person than Kamala,” Mr Trump stressed.
The new date gives Mr Trump time to focus on the upcoming Republican National Convention, where his presidential nomination is expected to be made formal.
Sharing a link to his campaign donation portal on X Friday, Mr Biden wrote, “Donald Trump is threatening our democracy.”
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has been held in contempt of court and fined $9,000 for violating a gag order.

The report detailed the foreign dealings that Mr Trump and his companies had, all of which violated the foreign emoluments clause of the U.S. constitution.
Mr Trump, alongside 18 close allies, was last month indicted on allegations of racketeering and subverting the 2020 poll.
In a statement on Truth Social, the former U.S. president said the indictment was a “witch hunt” and called the district attorney “out of control and very corrupt.”
The former president was indicted in Georgia after investigations into reports that he tried to overturn the state’s 2020 presidential election results.
