Macron is due to start a five-day trip to Africa on Wednesday, with stops in Gabon, Angola, Congo and Congo-Brazzaville.
Mr Zelensky is set to give a speech at the European Parliament and attend a summit with the EU’s 27 leaders as a guest.
There are 56 participating finance ministers, 30 trade ministers and 19 central bank heads.
Around 70 countries, international organisations, and the European Union will participate.
In two years, Mr Macron has been subjected to assault twice in the public in an humiliating manner by enraged citizens.
“I don’t think you have to politicise sports,” Mr Macron said on Thursday during a trip to Bangkok.
The government’s strategy is to “stabilise public spending, repay our debts, maintain growth, create jobs and lower taxes,” Mr Macron said.
Mr Macron said he believed there was a chance for peace in Ukraine, even as Russia warned the conflict could escalate.
Public transport and schools are to be the main focus of the strikes.
