Mr Mohammed stressed the importance of checking breath and alcohol intake among drivers as part of necessary measures to reduce road crashes.

The Federal Road Safety Corps has said it will henceforth withdraw the licences and prosecute any driver or fleet operator involved in fatal road crashes
The corps marshal thanked the interior minister for recognising FRSC contributions to national security.
The FRSC corps marshal, Shehu Mohammed, disclosed this in a news conference in Lagos on Thursday.
The operation will run from June 14 to June 21.
The corps marshal reaffirmed the position of the corps on deepening its ongoing prosecution of drivers.
“All drivers and vehicle owners who caused crashes on the roads would definitely face the wrath of the law.”
The FRSC boss, represented by the deputy corps marshal in charge of operations, Shehu Zaki, said the deployments were also made to other roads across the country.
