Mr Kazeem added that Mr Biu instructed the sector commanders to set up joint task forces in collaboration with sister agencies to conduct special operations to end the practice.

Mr Dauda Biu said that the corps operatives drafted to cover the elections were also mandated to clear obstructions from the roads.
He said it was worrisome that despite efforts by FRSC and other law enforcement agencies, road traffic violations have persisted in the FCT.
Mr Mbah enjoined FRSC to ensure that there were consequences for irresponsible behaviour on the nation’s roads.
He added that the initiative would equally enhance affordability and efficiency in transportation services.
He said all the 18 passengers in the bus were male adults.
FRSC corps marshal, Dauda Biu, recently inaugurated the special operation, directing that such drivers and vehicles should be apprehended.
