Mr Adams claimed that several states in the region had been infiltrated by terrorists.
He criticised arming Amotekun with dane guns to face terrorists equipped with AK-47s.
While details of the meeting are yet to be ascertained, it is believed that the growing security threats in the South-West will be part of their discussions.
Mr Adams also alleged that the different terrorist groups are coordinated by foreign elements.
Mr Adams said that without true federalism and proper restructuring, it would be difficult for the country to take its rightful place in the comity of nations.
He called on Nigerians to support one another, stressing that “injustice to one is injustice to all.”
Messrs Obi and Adams, and others expressed sadness over the death of the nationalist in separate statements.
“We also see the Itsekiri people as one of the descendants of the Oduduwa.”
“Anybody that wants to be the Nigerian president should restructure the country into federating units where each region will develop at their pace,” Mr Adams said.
“I believe by the power of Osun, anybody that drank the contaminated water will not be affected,” he said.
