“We want to warn Sowore and his group to stay away from Lagos or face the full weight of the law,” said the police commissioner.
The police commissioner, Olohundare Jimoh, gave the assurance during the ‘show of force’ by the command on Monday in Ikeja.
The state police spokesperson said that apart from Ojota, normalcy had returned to other parts of the state.
The police earlier warned protesters to be law-abiding.
The protesters also said a worship service would hold on the ground on Sunday (today).
Mr Chijioke said, “So I’d rather die on the streets than die at home. I can’t sit down and watch the future of my son go to waste.’’
On Thursday, two opposing groups staged protests at the Gani Fawehinmi Park, Ojota, in Lagos.
Police operatives were deployed to Gani Fawehinmi Park, Ojota, Maryland, National Stadium, Surulere, Ikeja Under Bridge, Iyana-Isolo, and Oshodi.
