The Commissioner for Health, Gaza Gwamna, said the intervention was meant to strengthen the institution for improved service delivery.
He explained that regular check-ups can help identify early signs of mental health issues.
Mr Gwamna said the milestone was achieved through increased awareness by the government in collaboration with partners.
The commissioner said the state targeted children between three and 59 months across all 13 local government areas with free malaria prevention drugs.

Mr Damina said the Governor Abdullahi Sule-led administration would continue to proactively tackle health challenges confronting the public.
However, Mr Gwamna said that 29 suspected cases of cholera were recorded in two of the state’s 13 local government areas.
