He said the armed forces would continue to support programmes that empower the youth and strengthen communities.
He urged the personnel to observe the occasion as a time for reflection on unity, loyalty and commitment to duty.
DIAN’s secretary-general, Kola Balogun, said the summit created a platform for African defence industries to showcase their capabilities and deepen collaboration.
He stressed that the ultimate goal of the armed forces was to restore peace and stability across the country.
The CDS emphasised that ranching had a lot of advantages for the owner of animals.
Mr Adedeji pledged to support the successful hosting of the forthcoming African summit for Chiefs of Defence Staff to be hosted by Nigeria in Abuja.Â
The CDS said the military had restructured operations in the North-West under Operation FANSAN YAMMA, with the establishment of Special Forces Brigades in Kaduna and Niger States.
The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, also commended the state government for the initiative.
As part of the final honours, a joint military team rendered a 21-gun salute before the former president was interred at his private residence in Daura.
The governor stated that hosting this year’s Nigerian Army Day celebration was a privilege for Kaduna State.
