The commissioner said the government would recruit another set of 4,000 teachers after their deployment to fill any existing vacancies in the schools.

Information commissioner Okey Kanu announced this while briefing journalists at the Government House, Umuahia, on the outcome of Monday’s State Executive Council meeting.
The commissioner said pupils not found in school during school hours would be arrested and used to apprehend their parents.
