Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has blasted his predecessor, Abdullahi Ganduje, describing the latter’s eight-year governorship as “wasted.”
Mr Yusuf gave the commission the mandate to investigate cases of misappropriation of public property and assets.
“This is very unbecoming and is not helping matters.”
“We assure the business community that our new government, if we come in under our able governor, Dr Yusuf Gawuna, businesses will flourish in Kano.”
Top security officials could not locate the judges, prompting speculation that the proceedings might be held virtually.Â
Justice Oluyemi Akintan-Osadebay said the tribunal would communicate the date for the judgment after all parties had adopted their final written addresses.
The youths defiled the police ban and marched into the government house carrying placards.
Mr Ganduje also said he had petitioned the police to address the looting and vandalisation that trailed the demolition.
