The speaker had earlier announced receiving a letter from Mr Ganduje for an additional commissioner-nominee.
“The letter was officially received by the house and is currently undergoing legislative process,” said the house.
The Speaker said the nominees if cleared, would replace members of the state executive council who resigned to contest positions in the 2023 general elections.
Emir Sanusi II was crowned on June 8, 2014, and was dethroned on March 9, 2020, by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje due to his perceived criticism of the government.
Mr Ganduje also urged those yet to obtain their voter card to use the holiday to do so, so as to enable them vote in the forthcoming elections.
The Kano governor was addressing NLC members during a solidarity protest with ASUU.
The court had on July 1 restrained Governor Ganduje from borrowing the money to install CCTV cameras in the state.
The state government said the development followed a resolution at its security meeting and would take effect from Thursday.
Among the 90 inmates’ fines that were settled and compensated, ten were on death row.
The accusation was seen as a shock since Mr Ibn-Sina, who acclaimed himself as morally upright, has clamoured for the strict enforcement of Sharia law in all parts of Kano.
