Deputy Senate whip Onyekachi Nwebonyi has urged the people of the Izzi clan to desist from divisive actions and follow their leaders to promote unity and development.
The Ebonyi State Emergency Management Agency says it has embarked on proactive measures to prevent flood disasters.
According to him, Ebonyi state is a model for peaceful coexistence.
Mr Nwifuru said the Amasiri community had not shown enough commitment to maintain permanent peace in the area, and the government had decided to bare its fangs.
The governor described the attack as barbaric.
He said that he had approved UNICEF’s call for immediate end to all forms of open defecation.
“I am committed to the club’s future even if others won’t lead,” Mr Nwifuru said.
He described them as special people whose prayers had kept the current administration progressing.
