Governor Francis Nwifuru on Sunday announced a N150,000 Christmas bonus for all categories of civil servants in Ebonyi.

“This menace damages the reputation of genuine professionals and erodes public trust. The NIOB must urgently act to stamp it out,” the governor said.
Mr Offia-Nwali noted that the Ebonyi pipe production industry had started production and was witnessing huge patronage.
An online video which circulated on July 1 showed the mangled bodies of the victims at Ogboji in Orumba South LGA of Anambra.

Mr Nwifuru said the committee would introduce a helpline to assist victims and enable the appropriate authorities to take action.

Mr Nwifuru directed the affected officers to hand over all government properties in their possession to the SSG by the close of work on Tuesday.
