ACLSD has urged the federal government to regulate the mining sector to checkmate the activities of illegal miners in the country.
They had deployed more officers in the area and increased surveillance by conducting stop-and-search on vehicles and individuals.
The Ekiti governor warned Nigerians against clinging to their tribes and religions but sidestepped raw concerns about President Buhari’s lopsided policies.
“If there is one area that we are unhappy about in terms of our development in the state, it is the availability of electricity. We have been on it from day one.”
