The convict earlier pleaded guilty to the offence.
Hisbah said the suspects and items confiscated were handed over to the police for further action.
The moral police said it would go after anyone that engages in “Dj dance, Gala, as well as sale and use of fireworks”.
According to the Hisbah commander, drinking alcohol is prohibited in Jigawa.
The suspects, comprising 54 women and 44 men, were arrested on March 16 and March 17 in separate operations by operatives of the board.
Jigawa Hisbah Board says it has arrested 61 persons, including 44 women for immorality.
Ibrahim Dahiru, the Hisbah Commander, gave the charge in an interview on Saturday in Dutse.
“During the operation, 454 bottles of assorted beer and seven litres of local gin was seized.”
The state’s religious police reiterated that the consumption of beer still remains prohibited in all parts of the state.
Mr. Dahiru added that the command recently destroyed 2,875 bottles of beer and four gallons of 25-litre burukutu.
