The prosecutor added that the girl’s scream alerted some neighbours who rescued her and handed the defendant to the police.
An auto mechanic, Chibuzor Emeka, was on Thursday docked in a Kaduna Chief Magistrates’ Court for stealing two of his customers’ car radiators worth N50,000.
Police said the convicts beat up the complainant during a misunderstanding, tore her cloths and also destroyed her phone worth N98,000.
“The sentence will serve as a deterrent to others who do not want to live in peace with their neighbours,” said the magistrate.
On Monday, the Kaduna Chief Magistrates’ Court sentenced a 21-year-old student, Paul Caleb, to four months’ imprisonment for stealing an iPad.
A Kaduna Magistrates’ Court has sentenced a 26-year-old man, Garba Hassan, to four months imprisonment for stealing female and children clothes, worth N90,000.
The sisters pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The accused is alleged to have lured the girl into an uncompleted building where he committed the act.
Mr. Leo said the defendant, the victim’s neighbour, called her on the pretence of sending her on an errand.
“The defendant collected the money and gave the complainant a fake document for the land.”
