Governor Ahmed Aliyu has inaugurated an economic advisory council and tasked it with developing a comprehensive roadmap.
Mr Gobir recalled that the National Assembly extended the implementation from December 31, 2022, to March 31, 2023.

The 2023 Appropriation Bill was presented before the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari on October 7.
Mr Gobir replaces the former Senate Leader, Yahaya Abdullahi (Kebbi North), who defected from the ruling party to the PDP.
Mr Aliyu polled 1,080 votes out of 1,182 votes cast at the primary election, contested by six aspirants.
APC Senator Ibrahim Gobir argued for the need to rotate power to accommodate all sections of the polity.
