When the case was called, Mr Kanu, who was the applicant, was not represented in court while the defendants’ lawyers were present.
The matter, billed to be heard today, was adjourned till June 20 by the court registrar following the absence of Justice Binta Nyako in court.
The Supreme Court on Thursday adjourned the hearing in the suit filed by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, until September 14.
Justice Nyako, while delivering a short ruling for an adjournment, said she would not tolerate any act that might delay proceedings any longer.
Nnamdi Kanu wants the court to order SSS to transfer him out of their detention facility and to Kuje correctional centre.
The SSS has refused to release the remaining four despite the court having signed their release order.
