Mr Nwodo is pushing for creation of an additional state in the South-East to correct the imbalance in the zonal structure of Nigeria.
“If the Yoruba can stand as a country; if the Igbos and the Hausa/Fulani can stand as separate countries, where do we want the minority groups to be?”
Many farmers have abandoned their farms and were no longer planting the seed because of fear of herdsmen’ attack and kidnappers.
“Igbo’s cannot afford to go to another war with Nigeria and at no point should they be incited into hostilities with the rest of Nigeria.”
“So we are declaring that you must contest the 2023 presidential election,” Mr. Igwe said.
