The commissioner said the suspected cultists were arrested with semi-automatic fabricated shotguns linked to a network of criminals.
The Lagos government has announced plans to divert traffic at Ijora from Friday. It will also divert traffic at the Alakija intersection for repair works starting in September.
“Now, we are going to close the Ijora bound carriageway on the 20th of August and open it on the 20th of December,” said the federal government.
“We also estimate an additional loss of N1 billion, which means we have lost about N4 billion to these activities of vandals.”
Mr Elulade said the technicalities behind the various tests were to ensure that the bridges were safe for use.
