Police commissioner Ikioye Orutugu has assured the public of professional conduct and neutrality among his personnel during the November 8 governorship election in Anambra.
The command felicitated with the people in celebrating the important cultural festival.
The police command in Anambra has arrested 200 suspects for various crimes and secured 100 convictions over a seven-month period.
Police operatives traced the vehicle’s location and effected the arrest of the suspect.
Mr Ikenga quoted the CP as saying criminal activities could happen within student-populated areas, hence the need to step up the security deployment.
The police command in Anambra says the recent killing of 10 persons in Ogboji, Orumba-South LGA, was not targeted at Ebonyi indigenes.
Mr Ikenga quoted the Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, as saying that the incident was suspicious.
Mr Ikenga explained that the explosion happened at a plumbing market, along Uga Street, on Friday.
The association also promised to assist security agencies in flushing out the bad eggs within traditional medicine practitioners to enhance adequate security.
The state police spokesperson noted that operatives also recovered one of the victims’ vehicles at the scene.
