The Imo police command says 300 officers have completed training in forensic and fraud investigations to boost institutional capacity.
The baby mama was “deceived and falsely informed that her child had died at birth”.
The police said a preliminary investigation revealed that two hoodlums died from an IED.
“Most of the suspects have been arraigned and remanded in the custodial Centre, Owerri, while others are still undergoing trial,” he added.
He said that the remains of the electrocuted man had been evacuated to a morgue.
Also, 26 alleged sit-at-home enforcers, suspected to be members of IPOB, were arrested on July 9 after a gun duel at a hotel in Owerri.
The police said the IPOB members were killed on their way to the Palace of Imo Chairman Council of Traditional Rulers.
