The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says fresh registration in the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) has hit 10,487,972 as of July 4.
At Polling Unit 5, Salvation Army School, Osogbo, registered voters that turned out for the mock exercise were accredited within 20 to 45 seconds.
The chairman said all necessary arrangements had been completed for a hitch-free poll, vowing to soon deploy a readiness-assessment team to Osun.
The electoral chief noted that the poor turnout may be attributed to the suspension of telecommunication networks in 17 of the 34 LGAs of the state.
Mr Okoye assured that the election would be free, fair and transparent.
An APC chieftain, Moshood Adeoti, the plaintiff in the suit, filed the matter.
Lauren Finch, a spokeswoman for Chicago State University, said Mr Tinubu’s academic records are covered by American privacy regulations.
INEC disclosed that 3,250,449 of the registrants completed the process online, while 5,381,247 did through physical registration.
He said this was the first time Nigerians saw a candidate who looked like who would work for their interest and were willing to express their minds in the election.
